One friend in a lifetime is much; two are many; three are hardly possible. Friendship needs a certain parallelism of life, a community of thought, a rivalry of aim.
Is it really important to have too many friends just to be cool amongst the crowd? Having too many friends can really get you in trouble. One tends to ignore their true and old friends which annoys them. Well its not bad having many friends but if you dont manage them properly then this boon becomes a bane.
And the most important thing is that If you cant continue your friendship with any of your old or new friend then tell her the truth rather than ignoring or hurting her unknowingly......
Much of a lecture till now...JUst close your eyes and think about who makes you feel the best in friendship and who tries best to keep up whatever the situation is. "Oh, the comfort-the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thoughts, nor measure words, but pouring them all out, just as they are, shaff and grain together; knowing that a faithful hand will take and sift them-keep what is worth keeping- and with the breath of kindness blow the rest away."
I really long to feel the same as I have to think a 1000000000 times before I speak even a word lest I am laughed at!!!! I am more of a joke rather than a friend in my group.......well do I even have a group..........oh I dont even know which group of people I belong to.....or do my friends consider me their true friend or not.....so many questions and my brain is aching and thats why I dont think about the answers.....
I really wanna say that I miss my two BEST FRIENDS FOREVER..... I am living in hope to have you back the same old way...

ReplyDeleteWell, i agree with your point. Too many friends, too many expectations, too many jokes to crack and make everyone smile, to be able to help everyone, to be able to satisfy everyone...sometimes it gets hectic.
And a cozy small group of a few friends are always better than a crowd of unamanagable friends.
I remember once Sachin Sir said that a synonym for frienship is 'convenience'.
Certainly a crowd is not convenient.
And frienship is something which has to be in contant repair.
And Sonali, as far as i observe, you are indeed a lovable person whom everyone likes, i can't imagine you having any sort of enemies. I love you for the person you originally are! Your friends, your group (including me) LOVES you. Never let any negative thoughts invade your mind.
According to Noetic Science, every thought changes into action as it has capability to interact with physical matter.
